Synthesis of single-component metallic glasses by thermal spray of nanodroplets on amorphous substrates [PDF]
We show that single component metallic glasses can be synthesized by thermal spray coating of nanodroplets onto an amorphous substrate. We demonstrate this using molecular dynamics simulations of nanodroplets up to 30 nm that the spreading of the ...

Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) microparticles with long‐term and thermal stability are prepared with or without collagen using a scalable one‐pot spray‐drying process. Under simulated physiological conditions, they crystallize into biomimetic bone mineral and, when combined with collagen, form extrudable, fibrillar bone‐like 3D constructs.

Crack-Resistance Behavior of an Encapsulated, Healing Agent Embedded Buffer Layer on Self-Healing Thermal Barrier Coatings [PDF]
In this work, a novel thermal barrier coating (TBC) system is proposed that embeds silicon particles in coating as a crack-healing agent. The healing agent is encapsulated to avoid unintended reactions and premature oxidation.

Operando Temperature Sensing at the Actual Electrocatalytic Interface by Nanodiamond Quantum Sensors
By integrating a wide‐field microscope with a custom‐designed electrolyzer, nanoscale temperature changes can be recorded in situ during the electrolysis process without interfering with ongoing electrochemical reactions. This method establishes a correlation between the interface temperature and specific electrochemical reactions, making the measured ...
