Thermal Stability of Mg/TeO2 Priming Compositions

open access: yesMedžiagotyra, 2021
The insensitive ignitors with magnesium/tellurium dioxide (Mg/TeO2) priming composition installed on the spacecraft will experience a harsh thermal environment. Therefore, it is necessary to verify their availability at extreme temperatures. Differential

Improving lignocellulose thermal stability by chemical modification with boric acid for incorporating into polyamide

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2020
The preparation of bio-composites based on engineering plastic is always restricted by the low thermal stability of lignocellulose. In this study, the thermal stability of lignocellulose was improved by boric acid modification.

STUDY OF THERMAL AND ACID STABILITY OF BENTONITE CLAY

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2010
The thermal and acid stability of the bentonite clays (Na- and Ca-bentonite) have been tested. The thermal stability testing has been carried out by heating 5 gram of the clays  for five hours at 200, 300 and 500 °C respectively, meanwhile acid stability

Thermal stability of cytokines: A review [PDF]

open access: yesCytokine, 2020
The role of cytokines in various disease states is a burgeoning field of academic study and clinical application, however there are no consensus documents on how certain cytokines should be stored prior to quantification. This information is especially of interest to researchers assembling a biobank or clinicians who have to transport specimens to a ...

Thermal stability and creep properties of radiation crosslinked ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene

open access: yesFushe yanjiu yu fushe gongyi xuebao, 2022
The effects of γ-ray irradiation on the thermal stability and creep resistance of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) were studied. First, UHMWPE powder was hot pressed into 1 mm thick sheets using a vulcanization molding machine.

Thermal Stability of Nanocrystalline Gradient Inconel 718 Alloy

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
Gradient structures containing nanograins in the surface layer have been introduced into Inconel 718 (IN718) nickel-based alloy using the surface mechanical grinding treatment technique. The thermal stability of the gradient IN718 alloy was investigated.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
