Thermally stimulated scattering in plasmas

Journal of Applied Physics, 1985
A theory for stimulated scattering of a laser beam is formulated where the dominant nonlinearity is the ohmic heating of the plasma. The analysis is carried out with particular reference to experimental investigations of CO2 laser heating of a linear discharge plasma.

Thermally stimulated currents in dielectrics

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1975
The theory of thermally stimulated polarization currents (TSPC) is described and observation of TSPC due to the polarization of impurity-vacancy dipoles in alkali halides is reported. These TSPC results are compared with the well known ionic thermocurrents (ITC).

Thermally stimulated current analysis

British Journal of Applied Physics, 1966
Difficulties experienced in obtaining reproducible results from thermally stimulated current analysis have led to a reconsideration of the basic mechanisms involved, and it is shown that the thermally stimulated current spectrum is critically dependent on the optical stimulation and thermal emptying procedures. It may not always be necessary to explain

Thermally stimulated currents in polyethylene

Conference on Electrical Insulation & Dielectric Phenomena - Annual Report 1974, 1974
In recent investigations of the electrical conductivity of organic high polymers, evidence has accumulated, indicating that in many polymers the charging and discharging currents, or at least parts thereof, may be attributed to the movement of electronic rather than ionic charge.
