Targeting the GPX4–FUNDC1 Interaction with Magnesium Lithospermate B Attenuates Sepsis‐Associated Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The diagram depicts the endothelial‐protective mechanism of magnesium lithospermate B (MLB) in sepsis‐associated lung injury. MLB binds GPX4 at Gly79, disrupts its interaction with FUNDC1, prevents mitophagy‐mediated GPX4 degradation, restores mitophagic flux, reduces ROS, and limits ferroptosis.

Mutual effects of thermal radiations and thermal stratification on tangent hyperbolic fluid flow yields by both cylindrical and flat surfaces

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2017
The characteristics of tangent hyperbolic fluid flow in the presence of both thermal radiation and thermal stratification effects are not discussed until now especially by way of an inclined cylindrical surface.

Coupled Above‐ and Belowground Ecosystem Stability Worldwide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Are the worlds above and below our feet in sync? This global exploration reveals an entangled fate between above‐ and belowground ecosystem stability. It identifies arid regions as hotspots for this coupling and highlights temperature stability as a vital safeguard for maintaining ecosystem balance across our warming planet.

Sensitivity Analysis About Transient Three-Dimensional IHCP With Multi-Parameters in an Elbow Pipe With Thermal Stratification

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Pipelines with thermal stratification are common in nuclear power plants, and the thermal stratification may induce thermal fatigue and lead to leakage, so thermal stratification analysis of the pipeline is particularly significant.

Underfloor air distribution: thermal stratification

open access: yes, 2002
More than 130 underfloor air distribution (UFAD) systems are installed in North America today, and that number is growing. In comparison to classical displacement ventilation (DV) systems that deliver air at low velocities, typical UFAD systems deliver air through floor diffusers with higher supply air velocities.

AI‐Enhanced Vibrational Capsule for Minimally Invasive Detection of Abnormal Bowel Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully integrated vibration‐assisted capsule is presented for the minimally invasive detection of bowel lesions. The capsule incorporates a wireless sensor and an eccentric motor to probe tissue mechanics in situ. By coupling triaxial vibration signals with AI‐based classification and analytical modeling, the system enables early, non‐visual ...
