Full-Time-Scale Fluid-to-Ground Thermal Response of a Borefield with Uniform Fluid Temperature
The most accurate method for the design and the simulation of a borehole heat exchanger (BHE) field is employing the fluid-to-ground thermal response of the field, namely the mean-fluid-temperature rise produced by a time-constant thermal power supplied ...

Fluctuations of Entropy Production in Partially Masked Electric Circuits: Theoretical Analysis
In this work we perform theoretical analysis about a coupled RC circuit with constant driven currents. Starting from stochastic differential equations, where voltages are subject to thermal noises, we derive time-correlation functions, steady-state ...

Thermal time and the Tolman-Ehrenfest effect: temperature as the "speed of time"
The notion of thermal time has been introduced as a possible basis for a fully general-relativistic thermodynamics. Here we study this notion in the restricted context of stationary spacetimes.

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Identical temperature dependence of the time scales of several linear-response functions of two glass-forming liquids [PDF]
The frequency-dependent dielectric constant, shear and adiabatic bulk moduli, longitudinal thermal expansion coefficient, and longitudinal specific heat have been measured for two van der Waals glass-forming liquids, tetramethyl-tetraphenyl-trisiloxane ...
