Fluorescent homooxacalixarenes: recent applications in supramolecular systems

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2023
This review covers recent advances (from 2006 to date) in supramolecular systems based on fluorescent homooxacalixarenes, namely hexahomotrioxacalix[3]arenes, dihomooxacalix[4]arenes and tetrahomodioxacalix[4]arenes, focusing on fluorescence sensing ...

Optical imaging through scattering media via magnetically modulated fluorescence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A weak (< 1000 G) magnetic field can influence photochemical processes through its effect on electron spin dynamics in a photogenerated radical pair. In a solution of pyrene and dimethylaniline this effect manifests as magnetic field-dependent exciplex ...

Kinetic Modeling of Transient Photoluminescence from Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2018
A simplified state model and associated rate equations are used to extract the reverse intersystem crossing and other key rate constants from transient photoluminescence measurements of two high performance thermally activated delayed fluorescence materials.

Tissue‐Stimulator Platform for Electrically Stimulating Pancreatic β‐Cells for Long‐Term Functional Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Origin of spectral broadening in pi-conjugated amorphous semiconductors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We present a study of the picosecond fluorescence dynamics of pi-conjugated semiconducting organic dendrimers in the solid state. By varying the degree of branching within the dendrons, referred to as the dendrimer generation, a control of intermolecular

Nonadiabatic coupling reduces the activation energy in thermally activated delayed fluorescence [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2017
The activation energy of thermally activated delayed fluorescence can be reduced by nonadiabatic coupling.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Multi‐Responsive Dendrimer‐Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel With Lubricating and Immunoregulatory Functions for Synergistic Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrogel with dynamic cross‐links was formed by cross‐linking hyaluronic acid with curcumin‐preloaded, phenylboronic acid‐modified poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. This hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability and self‐healing ability, enabling controlled Cur release in response to low pH, high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, or mechanical ...
