Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence from Pentacarbazorylbenzonitrile
Chemistry Letters, 2016A benzonitrile derivative substituted by five carbazoles (5CzBN), which emits thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), was synthesized and evaluated. The organic light-emitting diode (OLED) containing 5CzBN demonstrated light-blue electroluminescence and a high external quantum efficiency of 14.8%.

Benzofuropyridine-Based Highly Efficient Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Emitters
Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2018Novel thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials with benzofuro[2,3-b]pyridine (BFPd) as an electron acceptor and carbazole derivatives [carbazole (Cz), 1,3,6,8-tetramethyl-9H-carbazole (tmCz), and 9'H-9,3':6',9''-tercarbazole (terCz)] as electron donors are designed, and their electronic and optical properties are investigated ...

Thermally activated delayed fluorescence with circularly polarized luminescence characteristics
Chemical Communications, 2015A metal-free aromatic compound exhibiting thermally activated delayed fluorescence as well as circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) with dissymmetry factors of 10−3 is reported. This compound shows a sign inversion between its circular dichroism signal and CPL, which is caused by a large conformational change upon photoexcitation.

Nido‐Carboranes: Donors for Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence
Angewandte Chemie, 2018AbstractAn approach to the design of nido‐carborane‐based luminescent compounds that can exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) is proposed. 7,8‐Dicarba‐nido‐undecaboranes (nido‐carboranes) having various 8‐R groups (R=H, Me, i‐Pr, Ph) are appended to the meta or para position of the phenyl ring of the dimesitylphenylborane (PhBMes2 ...

Photocatalytic Mechanisms of Organic Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Compounds
The Journal of Physical Chemistry LettersReverse intersystem crossing (RISC) has become possible by minimizing the energy gap between the first excited singlet (S1) and triplet state (T1), which facilitates the thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF). Due to the small singlet-triplet energy gap, the S1 and T1 states exhibit comparable redox reactivity, leading organic TADF compounds ...

Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Emitters for Efficient Electrochemiluminescence
ChemPhotoChemAbstractThermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials have attracted considerable interest due to their ability to enhance electrochemiluminescence (ECL). This is achieved through the efficient upconversion of triplet excitons and the subsequent radiative transitions.
