Behavioural tactics across thermal gradients align with partial morphological divergence in brook charr. [PDF]
Our study reveals that brook charr adopt distinct ‘warm’ and ‘cool’ behavioural tactics to balance foraging and thermal stress in stratified lakes. By linking fine‐scale thermal movements to morphology, we show how temperature‐driven habitat use promotes individual specialization and potential ecotypic divergence under climate change.

Domain-Wall Driven Suppression of Thermal Conductivity in a Ferroelectric Polycrystal. [PDF]
In this study, phonon scattering at ferroelectric domain walls is used to engineer polycrystals with an unusual heat transport behavior: in the model system ErMnO3, thermal conductivity decreases as grain size increases, a trend opposite to that observed in other conventional materials.

Synthesis of a new amino acid derivative with long-lasting hair shape control effects and elucidation of its mechanisms. [PDF]
We have discovered 2‐(2‐aminoethylthio) succinic acid with a long‐lasting hair shape control effect. We have demonstrated its hair straightening and curl retention effect, and clarified its mechanism. Abstract Objective Hair is a crucial aspect of an individual's physical appearance.

The bacteriorubin‐rich extract of Arthrobacter agilis has high antioxidative properties, protecting proteins against oxidative stress and preventing their carbonylation. It also protects proteins against saline and heat stresses, suggesting a dual mode of action including antioxidant and chaperone‐like activities.

Real‐Time Kinetic Monitoring of Dental Composite Photopolymerization by Photo‐DSC
Real time photo‐DSC was used to investigate polymerization kinetics of Bis‐GMA/TEGDMA dental composites. The study thoroughly examines how photo‐initiator type, concentration, silica filler content, and moisture affect conversion and curing rate. Results highlight optimal initiator systems, filler effects, and moisture tolerance, providing valuable ...

When honeybees come to town: Critical aspects of urban beekeeping and opportunities for regulation
Abstract Urban areas are increasingly valued for their role in conserving wild pollinators. Honeybees are often regarded as ambassador species for pollinator conservation, and beekeeping is frequently perceived as a pro‐biodiversity activity, which has become highly popular in urban areas.

The base layer is important for the road pavement structural performance. This study aims to monitor the performance of various local composite materials as road construction materials. To do this, an experimental study treated the improvement of geotechnical properties of a lateritic gravel, initially nonadopted as a base layer, by using three ...
