Metal‐anode batteries using Li, Na, Mg, and Ca offer exceptionally high energy density, but dendrites, unstable interphases, cracking, and pore formation hinder durability and safety. This review shows how careful electrolyte and interphase design can stabilize these reactive metals.

Beyond the Gold Standard: Towards Industrially Viable Electrodes for Durable Perovskite Solar Cells
Transparent and opaque electrode materials are mapped by raw material cost per 1 m2 electrode area and retained median device efficiency after heat–light ageing. FTO offers a lower‐cost and more stable alternative to ITO, while Cr/Al provides the lowest‐cost rear electrode investigated with Au‐like stability and substantially improved durability ...

Thermite-for-Demise (T4D): Preliminary assessment on the effects of a thermite charge in arc-heated wind tunnel experiments [PDF]
The use of thermite to aid spacecraft demise during atmospheric re-entry is investigated in the ESA-TRP SPADEXO project. The Thermite-for-Demise concept was tested in L2K arc-heated wind tunnel facility.

Additively manufactured reactive material architectures for exothermic brazing
Exothermic brazing uses the heat generated by an exothermic reaction to melt and flow filler material, but generally involves complex fixtures placed around the joint to hold the energetic material in place. Additive manufacturing can replace the fixture

ABSTRACT Most high‐entropy alloys (HEAs) tailored for contaminant degradation suffer from complex fabrication processes and high‐cost alloy design. Furthermore, low‐cost active elements such as Fe and Mg cannot be readily alloyed into HEAs via conventional routes.

Terrestrial Space Weather Protection Through Human‐Produced Mass‐Loading
Abstract While humans become more reliant on Earth's space environment, the potential for significant harm from severe space weather continues to grow. As structures from the sun reach Earth's magnetosphere and space environment, they deposit energy that fuels geomagnetic storms.
