Deepening on the Intercalation Pseudocapacitive Behavior of Ti0.33Nb0.66O2 Rutile as the Anode Material for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
This study shows that the beneficial effect of Nb by Ti partial substitution on TiO2 consists of a significant increase in the lithium diffusion coefficient, resulting from the opening of structural tunnels. This explains the intercalation pseudocapacitive behavior of Nb‐derivatives of TiO2. The electrochemical performance of a rutile with high niobium
