Some features of bypass engine operation process with separate exhaust nozzles
In the article some equations are derived to establish the relationships between the thermodynamic cycle parameters applying to bypass engines with separate exhaust nozzles. Necessary calculations are made and the main dependences are analyzed.

Experiments and thermophysical simulations were conducted to investigate the electron beam powder bed fusion electron beam (PBF‐EB/M) process for the γ′‐strengthened nickel‐based superalloy Inconel 738LC. The results demonstrate the impact of process‐induced microstructural variations on high‐temperature mechanical behavior, providing a basis for ...

Impact of MgO Additions on the Oxidation Resistance and Compression Behavior of Vanadium Alloys
An increase in oxidation resistance at 600 °C is achieved for alloys containing more than 2.5 wt.% MgO. It has been established that, along with V2O5, MgO6V2, and Mg2O7V2 are formed, which are presumed to enhance oxidative stability. Furthermore, the possible transformation of Mg‐vanadates through reaction with CO2, which presumably occurs in this ...

Ammonia/Water Thermodynamic Cycle For Lunar Power Applications [PDF]
For long-term presence on the lunar surface, a reliable and efficient power source is required. A novel thermodynamic bottoming cycle which utilizes ammonia and water—the Kalina Cycle—is evaluated for use on the lunar surface.

Quantum thermodynamics on a limit cycle
Abstract We consider a periodic quantum clock based on cooperative resonance fluorescence at zero temperature. The semi-classical dynamics exhibit a Hopf bifurcation to a limit cycle. In the quantum case, this system has an exact steady state and the limit cycle appears in conditional quantum dynamics under homodyne detection. We show

We apply a foundational machine‐learning interatomic potential based on the graph atomic cluster expansion (GRACE) to simulate the commercial Ni‐based single‐crystal superalloy CMSX‐4. Hybrid Monte‐Carlo/molecular dynamics sampling resolves short‐range order in the γ phase and L12 sublattice occupancies in the γ’ phase and connects them to stacking ...
