A thermodynamic database for copper smelting and converting
Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B, 1999The thermodynamic properties of the slag, matte, and liquid copper phases in the Cu-Ca-Fe-Si-O-S system have been critically assessed and optimized over the ranges of compositions of importance to copper smelting/converting based on thermodynamic and phase equilibria information available in the literature and using the modified quasichemical model.

A Thermodynamic Database for Magnesium Alloys
2016A complete thermodynamic database for the Mg-Al-Mn-Fe-Be system has been developed. The goal of this work is to develop a better understanding of the chemical interactions occurring during the alloying process of magnesium-based alloys. The database consists of evaluated and optimized model parameters, which give all the thermodynamic properties of all

From binary assessments to thermodynamic databases
International Journal of Materials Research, 2008Abstract The Calphad method is a very powerful method for dealing with phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties of multicomponent alloy systems. In fact, it is the only method that can do this. However, in order to do this it is necessary to construct multicomponent databases, and the requirements on thermodynamic evaluations, in ...
