Stochastic thermodynamics of quantum maps with and without equilibrium
We study stochastic thermodynamics for a quantum system of interest whose dynamics are described by a completely positive trace-preserving (CPTP) map as a result of its interaction with a thermal bath.

Fe‐ and Mn‐containing AlSi alloys undergo aluminothermic reaction with Mn oxide in sessile‐drop and crucible experiments forming poor‐wetting Al2O3 while Mn enriches in the alloy. Primary Fe‐containing particles are preferentially attached to the Mn oxide.

Laser remelting of a CrMnFeCoNi high‐entropy alloy reveals that optimal chemical homogenization occurs between 30 and 40 J·mm−2. Within this range, elemental segregation is reduced by over 30% compared to the as‐cast state. The study establishes this window as a fast, effective alternative to prolonged annealing for achieving uniform elemental ...

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

This study reveals that higher shell S coordination can effectively modulate the spin state of FeN4 site via long‐range electronic interactions, giving rise to the oriented generation of singlet oxygen from peroxymonosulfate activation. Abstract Precise manipulation of coordination structure of single‐atom sites and establishment of schematic ...

EQUILIBRIUM THERMODYNAMICS OF LATTICE QCD [PDF]
Lattice QCD allows us to simulate QCD at non-zero temperature and/or densities. Such equilibrium thermodynamics calculations are relevant to the physics of relativistic heavy-ion collisions. I give a brief review of the field with emphasis on our work.

Thermodynamic implications of the gravitationally induced particle creation scenario
A rigorous thermodynamic analysis has been done as regards the apparent horizon of a spatially flat Friedmann–Lemaitre–Robertson–Walker universe for the gravitationally induced particle creation scenario with constant specific entropy and an arbitrary ...
