A Nb‐proximitized Josephson junction based on a WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 heterostructure exhibits a robust superconducting diode effect with programmable polarity. The diode direction can be trained by magnetic fields and switched by temperature cycling, revealing tunable finite‐momentum pairing states and competing superconducting states in symmetry‐broken ...

Solvent‐mediated reactivity control of Lewis‐paired dopants enables highly efficient, finely tunable, and stable doping of organic semiconductors. The optimally doped semiconductor films exhibit superior thermoelectric performance and doping stability, feature delocalized polarons along structurally ordered polymer backbones, and outperform ...

Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

Metastasis Models: Thermodynamics and Complexity
2023The thermodynamic formalism of nonequilibrium systems together with the theory of complex systems and systems biology offer an appropriate theoretical framework to explain the complexity observed at the macroscopic level in physiological phenomena. In turn, they allow the establishment of an appropriate conceptual and operational framework to address ...

Thermodynamic modeling of the Ni–In system
Zeitschrift für Metallkunde, 2002The complete nickel-indium system was thermodynamically assessed at a total pressure of 1 bar from room temperature up to liquidus temperatures. The Gibbs energies of five condensed solution phases and five stoichiometric compounds were modeled using all available T-x phase diagram and thermodynamic data.

Thermodynamic modelling of hypothermia
European Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1999Hypothermia is an important threat in trauma patients. The prevention of accidental hypothermia requires a thermal steady state. A simple mathematical model describing thermal steady state is introduced. When applied to trauma patients the model seems sensitive to changes in temperature of intravenous fluids.

On the choice of “Geometric” thermodynamic models
Journal of Phase Equilibria, 2000A number of “geometric” models have been proposed for estimating the thermodynamic properties of a ternary solution from optimized data for its binary subsystems. Among the most common of these are the Kohler, Muggianu, Kohler/Toop, and Muggianu/Toop models.

Thermodynamic stability of cosmological models
Physical Review D, 1986The thermodynamics of homogeneous isotropic universes (kg0, \ensuremath{\Lambda}g0) with conformal scalar radiation is analyzed, in analogy with the thermodynamics of black holes in a cavity, as the mutual equilibrium between two subsystems (quantum thermal bosons and semiclassical conformal metric modes) fluctuating under an energy constraint ...

Thermodynamic Limitations of the Reptation Model
Macromolecular Symposia, 2006AbstractSummary: The paper deals with the question whether the tube/reptation model of polymer chain dynamics is compatible with general laws of statistical physics. Based on a relation between the mean squared fluctuation of the number of segments in a given volume element and the isothermal compressibility of the polymer system, it follows ...
