Thermodynamic Parameters in Immunoassay

cclm, 1998
Abstract Although affinity and kinetic measurements on their own provide useful information regarding the suitability of antibodies for various immunoassays, a thermodynamic analysis provices additional information that throws light on the molecular forces at work in the antigen-antibody interaction. It may then be possible to adjust

Thermodynamic parameters of the formation of polyoxymethylene

Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1975
Thermodynamic parameters of the trioxane (TO)-tetroxane (TTO)-formaldehyde (FA)-polyoxymethylene (POM) equilibrium system were compared under homogeneous (dissolved polymer) and heterogeneous conditions (crystalline polymer). It was shown that displacing the equilibrium to form a polymer by precipitation in the solid phase takes place basically as a ...

The thermodynamics of characteristic defect parameters

Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics, 1981
The authors discuss the distinction between defect parameters (energies and entropies) defined at constant pressure and those defined at constant lattice parameter or constant volume and draw attention to the relations which exist between these quantities.

Fluctuation of thermodynamic parameters in different ensembles

Physical Review A, 1985
The relation between different thermodynamic ensembles is studied, the finiteness of the systems being explicitly taken into account. Especially, equilibrium fluctuations of thermodynamic parameters (temperature, pressure, chemical potential) are considered. Several discrepancies occur in the literature.

Thermodynamic parameters of vaporization of EuBr2

Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2010
The vaporization process of europium dibromide was studied using high-temperature mass spectrometry. It was ascertained that saturated vapor in temperature range of 1049–1261 K was represented mainly by EuBr2 molecules; the fraction of dimer molecules Eu2Br4 was less than 1%.

Stability and thermodynamic parameters of cis-aconityladenylate

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1969
Aconityladenylate was synthesized as a model for a naturally occurring acyladenylate. By following the characteristic absorption peak of the model compound at 362 mμ, rate constants (k1) of its hydrolysis in various media were obtained. The rate constants indicate that the conditions suitable for the oxidative phosphorylation of mitochondria are ...

Partial Solvation Parameters and Mixture Thermodynamics

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2012
The recently introduced partial solvation parameters (PSPs) are molecular descriptors that combine elements from quantum mechanics with the QSPR/LSER/solvatochromic and solubility parameter approaches. Basic regularities and universalities exhibited by PSPs are examined in this work and the concepts of homosolvation, heterosolvation and solvation ...

Thermodynamic parameters of polyacrylamides in water

Polymer, 1981
Abstract The heats of dilution of polyacrylamide and its N -methyl derivatives have been measured calorimetrically. Their apparent partial specific volumes have also been determined. For the unsubstituted polymer, χ h was endothermic whereas for both the N -substituted polymers χ h was exothermic.

Coupling-parameter expansion in thermodynamic perturbation theory

Physical Review E, 2013
An approach to the coupling-parameter expansion in the liquid state theory of simple fluids is presented by combining the ideas of thermodynamic perturbation theory and integral equation theories. This hybrid scheme avoids the problems of the latter in the two phase region. A method to compute the perturbation series to any arbitrary order is developed
