Stability and thermodynamic parameters of cis-aconityladenylate

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1969
Aconityladenylate was synthesized as a model for a naturally occurring acyladenylate. By following the characteristic absorption peak of the model compound at 362 mμ, rate constants (k1) of its hydrolysis in various media were obtained. The rate constants indicate that the conditions suitable for the oxidative phosphorylation of mitochondria are ...

Fluctuation of thermodynamic parameters in different ensembles

Physical Review A, 1985
The relation between different thermodynamic ensembles is studied, the finiteness of the systems being explicitly taken into account. Especially, equilibrium fluctuations of thermodynamic parameters (temperature, pressure, chemical potential) are considered. Several discrepancies occur in the literature.

Thermodynamic parameters of polyacrylamides in water

Polymer, 1981
Abstract The heats of dilution of polyacrylamide and its N -methyl derivatives have been measured calorimetrically. Their apparent partial specific volumes have also been determined. For the unsubstituted polymer, χ h was endothermic whereas for both the N -substituted polymers χ h was exothermic.

Thermodynamic Extrapolation of Rocket Performance Parameters

ARS Journal, 1962
[I31 It has been found useful in performance calculations to calculate molecular weight derivatives rather than volume derivatives to indicate changes in composition. From Eq. [I 31 there follows A further discussion of the molecular weight derivatives and a method for their numerical evaluation is given by Gordon et al. (4). With the aid of Bridgman's

Thermodynamic parameters from an electrochemical cell

Journal of Chemical Education, 1970
An electrochemical cell of simple construction is described that permits a reasonably accurate assessment of thermodynamic parameters with unsophisticated equipment.

Molecular energy parameters by solution thermodynamics

Polyhedron, 2002
Abstract The relationships between statistical thermodynamics and equilibrium constants, either cumulative, stepwise or specific site constants are investigated. In order to show the link between equilibrium constants and statistical thermodynamic microscopic properties, a distinction has been introduced between non-reacting and reacting systems. The

Thermodynamic parameters from hydrogen exchange measurements.

Methods in enzymology, 1996
Just as exchangeable hydrogens that are controlled by global unfolding can be used to measure thermodynamic parameters at a global level, hydrogens that are exposed to exchange by local unfolding reactions may be used to obtain locally resolved energy parameters.
