Thermoelectric-cooled terahertz quantum cascade lasers
We demonstrate the first lasing emission of a thermo-electrically cooled terahertz quantum cascade laser (THz QCL). A high temperature three-well THz QCL emitting at 3.8 THz is mounted to a novel five-stage thermoelectric cooler reaching a temperature difference of ΔT = 124 K.

Mild Focal Cooling Decouples Dendrites to Reconfigure Cortical Output
Mild cooling of the cortical surface selectively modulates apical dendritic excitability, plasticity, and somato‐dendritic coupling, while uncoupling these effects from basal dendrites, and reshapes apical‐driven responses in barrel cortex during whisker touch.

Theoretical Simulation and Experimental Research on Multistage Thermoelectric Cooler
Theoretical analysis of multistage thermoelectric cooler was done in this paper. The cooling temperatures of four different multistage thermoelectric coolers were obtained in three different conditions by ANSYS simulation software.

A volcano‐inspired dual‐carbon aerogel featuring hierarchical conduits and an outer carbon‐fiber shell directs rapid water transport, confines heat, and enables directional salt migration. Radial temperature gradients in the conical structure trigger Marangoni‐driven edge‐localized salt crystallization while maintaining an unobstructed photothermal ...
