Nonlinear Resonance Modulation in Single‐Crystalline VO2‐Integrated Si Ring Resonator

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This work first demonstrates a single‐crystalline VO2–Si hybrid ring resonator. The epitaxial lift‐off process enables high‐quality VO2 integration on the dissimilar Si photonic platform. The high‐quality VO2 film exhibits exceptional nonlinear resonance modulation and a steep optical transition across the metal‐insulator transition. ABSTRACT The metal‐

Adaptive Sliding‐Mode Control of a Perturbed Diffusion Process With Pointwise In‐Domain Actuation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A sliding mode–based adaptive control law is proposed for a class of diffusion processes featuring a spatially‐varying uncertain diffusivity and equipped with several point‐wise actuators located at the two boundaries of the spatial domain as well as in its interior.

Measuring thermoelectric module properties by time-domain impedance spectroscopy using heat leakage at 300 K

open access: yesScientific Reports
All key thermoelectric properties of thermoelectric materials (i.e., resistivity ρ, dimensionless figure of merit zT, thermal conductivity κ TE , and Seebeck coefficient S) were measured at 300 K using time-domain impedance spectroscopy (TDIS).

Triplet 4‐Nitrenemethyl‐Pyridine‐N‐Oxide: A Model Alkyl Nitrene Isolated in Cryogenic Matrices

open access: yesJournal of Physical Organic Chemistry, Volume 39, Issue 5, May 2026.
The simplest triplet alkyl nitrene bearing a pyridine‐N‐oxide moiety was generated by direct irradiation (λ > 350 nm) of the corresponding azide in an Ar matrix at 15 K. Quantum tunneling 1,2‐H shift to the corresponding imine is thermodynamically favorable but does not occur due to a high‐energy barrier (~36 kcal mol−1).

Thermoelectric Modules Incorporating MgAgSb and Mg3(Sb,Bi)2 Synthesized Using a Melting Method

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 5, 4 March 2026.
A scalable synthesis method for a thermoelectric material of MgAgSb is established. A thermoelectric power module of MgAgSb/Mg3(Sb,Bi)2 is fabricated, showing the conversion efficiency of 7.4% at ΔT = 315 K. The performance is comparable to conventional Bi2Te3 modules when they are operated with an air‐cooled heat exchanger.
