Thermoelectric properties of mesoscopic superconductors

Physical Review B, 1996
We develop a general framework for describing thermoelectric effects in phase-coherent superconducting structures. Formulas for the electrical conductance, thermal conductance, thermopower, and Peltier coefficient are obtained and their various symmetries discussed. Numerical results for both dirty and clean Andreev interferometers are presented.

Vertical Silicon Nanowire Thermoelectric Modules with Enhanced Thermoelectric Properties

Nano Letters, 2019
Thermoelectric modules based on silicon nanowires (Si-NWs) have recently attracted significant attention as they show an improved thermoelectric efficiency due to a decrease in thermal conductivity. Here, we adopt a top-down fabrication method to dramatically reduce the thermal conductivity of vertical Si-NWs.

Measurements of thermoelectric properties of a thermoelectric cooler

Energy Conversion and Management, 1983
Abstract The effective thermoelectric parameters of a single stage cooler were measured as a function of temperature and compared with those of the n and p type materials from which the thermoelements were prepared. The performance of the cooler was calculated by a computerized iterative process using measured parameters and compared with ...

Thermoelectric Properties of PbTe

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
The PbTe has been prepared by pressing and annealing method in argon atmosphere. The PbTe sample was obtained single phase and cubic structure. The Seebeck coefficient, the electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity measured by steady state method and evaluated dimensionless figure merit at room temperature.

Thermoelectric properties of Bi2O2Se

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2010
Abstract Bi 2 O 2 Se was synthesized from Bi 2 Se 3 and Bi 2 O 3 by solid state reaction in an evacuated quartz ampoule. The product crystallizes in the tetragonal type lattice and X-ray pattern displays lines of the Bi 2 O 2 Se only. Samples for thermoelectric property measurements were prepared using hot pressing in rectangular graphite dies. The

Thermoelectric properties of Mo3Te4

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2002
Abstract The thermoelectric properties of Mo3Te4 are evaluated in the temperature range from room temperature to about 1000 K. The elastic constants and Debye temperature of Mo3Te4 are also evaluated from sound velocity measurements made by the ultrasonic pulse-echo method. The relationships between several properties of Mo3Te4 are studied.
