Abstract Bi 2 O 2 Se was synthesized from Bi 2 Se 3 and Bi 2 O 3 by solid state reaction in an evacuated quartz ampoule. The product crystallizes in the tetragonal type lattice and X-ray pattern displays lines of the Bi 2 O 2 Se only. Samples for thermoelectric property measurements were prepared using hot pressing in rectangular graphite dies. The

Thermoelectric properties of Mo3Te4

Abstract The thermoelectric properties of Mo3Te4 are evaluated in the temperature range from room temperature to about 1000 K. The elastic constants and Debye temperature of Mo3Te4 are also evaluated from sound velocity measurements made by the ultrasonic pulse-echo method. The relationships between several properties of Mo3Te4 are studied.
