Thermoelectric properties of Si-based thermoelectrics
The thermal conductivity κ and the electric properties of Si1-xGex (x≤0.03) samples doped with Group 3B and 5B elements which were prepared by arc melting were measured as functions of carrier (or dopant) concentration n and of temperature in the range from 298K to 1273K.

Freeform Fabrication of Layered Halide Perovskite Nanowire Heterojunctions
‘All‐at‐once’ freeform fabrication of layered perovskite nanowire heterojunctions is realized by 3D printing employing meniscus‐guided crystallization. The integration of nanoscale additive manufacturing with layered halide perovskites will provide a versatile platform to freely design and realize highly stable perovskite‐based optoelectronic ...

A Comprehensive Review of Waste‐Derived Materials for Solar Still Performance Enhancement
ABSTRACT Solar desalination reduces energy use and produces freshwater sustainably, but its productivity is limited and cannot meet rising demand. Thus, solar desalination system improvements are sought to boost water productivity. Waste materials are abundantly available and burden the environment, making them low‐cost enhancers for solar desalination

Tunable thermoelectricity in monolayers of MoS2 and other group-VI dichalcogenides
We study the thermoelectric properties of monolayers of MoS _2 and other group-VI dichalcogenides under circularly polarized off-resonant light. Analytical expressions are derived for the Berry phase mediated magnetic moment, orbital magnetization, as ...

Phonon Engineering in Ultrathin Sn Films
When embedded in multilayer structures, ultrathin Sn layers demonstrate strongly modified vibrational density of states (VDOS). This allows engineering a drastic increase of the Lamb‐Mössbauer factor fLM$f_{\text{LM}}$ and thereby of the cross‐section for coherent excitation of the ultrasharp nuclear resonance of 119Sn$^{119}{\rm Sn}$. This enables the

Gate-modulated thermopower in disordered nanowires: I. Low temperature coherent regime
Using a one-dimensional tight-binding Anderson model, we study a disordered nanowire in the presence of an external gate which can be used for depleting its carrier density (field effect transistor device configuration).

Roll‐to‐roll direct‐current sputtering enables room‐temperature manufacture of flexible bismuth telluride thermoelectric films. By identifying a low‐power deposition window that suppresses charge‐induced arcing, this work links sputtering conditions to film structure, charge transport, and thermoelectric performance, achieving a room‐temperature figure

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...
