Internal convection in thermoelectric generator models

open access: yes, 2012
Coupling between heat and electrical currents is at the heart of thermoelectric processes. From a thermal viewpoint this may be seen as an additional thermal flux linked to the appearance of electrical current in a given thermoelectric system. Since this

Photo‐Switching Thermal and Lithium‐Ion Conductivity in Azobenzene Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐responsive azobenzene polymers control thermal and ionic transport simultaneously through structural transitions. UV illumination disrupts π–π stacking, converting crystalline trans states to amorphous cis configurations. Thermal conductivity drops from 0.45 to 0.15 W·m−1·K−1 while Li+ diffusivity increases 100 fold. This dual transport switching

Synchronized Electro‐Chromo‐Emissive Devices Using a Mixed Ionic‐Electronic Conductive Layer for XR Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single cell type Electro‐chromo‐emissive (ECECL) device integrating synchronized electrochromic (EC) and electrochemiluminescent (ECL) functions is developed using a mixed ionic‐electronic conductor (MIEC). A MIEC layer reduces ionic/electronic resistance, enabling ultrafast switching and enhanced optical contrast.

Thermoelectric device with electronic control unit for diagnostics of inflammatory processes in the human organism

open access: yesTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2017
The paper presents a thermoelectric device capable of simultaneously measuring the temperature and density of heat fluxes on the surface of a human body with the help of a developed thermoelectric sensor with a thermostated free surface, thus excluding ...

Theory of thermoelectricity in Mg$_3$Sb$_2$ with an energy- and temperature-dependent relaxation time

open access: yes, 2018
We study the electronic transport coefficients and the thermoelectric figure of merit ZT in $n$-doped Mg$_3$Sb$_2$ based on density-functional electronic structure and Bloch-Boltzmann transport theory with an energy- and temperature-dependent relaxation ...

Fully Bio‐Based Gelatin Organohydrogels via Enzymatic Crosslinking for Sustainable Soft Strain and Temperature Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Enzymatically crosslinked gelatin‐based organohydrogels, fabricated through a fully bio‐based and scalable process, exhibit exceptional strain and temperature sensing capabilities with minimal interference from environmental humidity. These transparent, stretchable, and ionically conductive materials operate without synthetic fillers or dopants.

Thermoelectric transport with electron-phonon coupling and electron-electron interaction in molecular junctions

open access: yes, 2012
Within the framework of nonequilibrium Green's functions, we investigate the thermoelectric transport in a single molecular junction with electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions.

Ionic thermoelectric paper

open access: yesJournal of Materials Chemistry A, 2017
NFC–PSSNa composite paper combines high ionic conductivity, high ionic Seebeck coefficient and low thermal conductivity, resulting in an overall slightly better figure-of-merit than PSSNa.

Enantioselective Growth of Chiral Serine‐Induced β‐Ag2Se Crystals from an Organoselenium Compound

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral amino acids direct the enantioselective crystallization of β‐Ag2Se nanocrystals from an organoselenium precursor. L‐ and D‐serine induce distinct morphologies and opposite homochiral adsorption preferences, transferring molecular handedness into the inorganic lattice.
