Pozzolanic reactivity of the supplementary cementitious material pitchstone fines by thermogravimetric analysis

open access: yes, 2009
Thermogravimetric (TG) analysis was applied to the characterisation of the pozzolanic reaction in mortars containing the supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) pitchstone fines (PF) and fly ash (FA) as partial replacements for Portland cement (PC ...

Thermogravimetric Analysis of Carbon Based Catalytic on Decomposition of Methane

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2014
Direct decomposition of methane offers two valuable products: hydrogen, and carbon black. However, methane is a stable molecule and its decomposition without catalyst requires temperatures of above 1,000 °C.

Mechanically Robust and Depolymerizable Polyesters With Near‐Complete Monomer Recovery for Circular Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A sustainable δ‐lactone‐based polymer platform enables multimodal additive manufacturing through DLP, DIW, and FFF, combining tunable crystallinity, photocurable networks, mechanical robustness, and functional response. The printed materials can be mechanically reprocessed and chemically depolymerized into recoverable monomers, demonstrating a closed ...

Interfacial Electronic Restructuring in MAPbBr3/rGO Hybrids Enabling Improved Charge Extraction for Efficient Photodetection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
MAPbBr3/rGO hybrids exhibit interfacial electronic restructuring that enhances charge extraction in photodetectors. The incorporation of rGO modifies the surface chemical environment, enhances electron‐dominated transport, and suppresses performance degradation, resulting in higher responsivity, detectivity, and photostability than in pristine MAPbBr3 ...

Turning Humidity Into Function: Heterojunction Interfaces for Dual‐Mode Removal of Nonpolar Vapors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A wire‐grown MIL–88B(Fe)@Fe3(PO4)2 heterojunction converts ambient humidity into a functional mediator for nonpolar VOC purification. Water forms a hydration layer that enhances cyclohexane uptake while simultaneously promoting •OH generation, resulting in synergistic adsorption–photocatalysis under humid conditions.

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

Additively Manufactured Porous Ceramics as Tunable Dielectrics for Passive Temperature Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Porous ceramic lattices, 3D‐printed from a multicomponent oxide ink, are integrated with LC resonators for passive wireless temperature sensing. By tuning porosity, the dielectric properties and RF response are engineered to produce distinct resonant frequency shifts with temperature. The results establish a structure‐driven approach to customizing the
