Temperature Measurement in Thermogravimetry
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1964A method is described whereby the temperature of a sample in a thermobalance may be determined directly without the large uncertainty that usually accompanies these measurements. The procedure consists of using a unijunction transistor relaxation oscillator with a thermistor as the resistive part.

Coal analysis using thermogravimetry
Thermochimica Acta, 1984Thermogravimetric analysis is being used increasingly today to obtain kinetic data related to coal decomposition. However, this method is open to criticism on the basis that the meaning of the activation energy of solid state reactions obtained from TG experiments is not clear.

Nonisothermal thermogravimetry of polymers
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1995The model of weight loss taking place in each step of a scheme of consecutive reactions was applied to nonisothermal thermogravimetric records of bromomethylated poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide). The release of HBr was found to be faster in air than in nitrogen.

Thermogravimetry of Selected Bentonites
Energy Sources, 2002In this research the application of thermal analysis techniques (TG-DTA) to the characterization of bentonite samples is presented. The thermal behavior of 4 bentonite samples was investigated using simultaneous thermogravimetry (TG/DTG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) techniques. It was observed that all bentonite samples exhibit 2 weight loss

Thermogravimetry of manganese dioxides
Thermochimica Acta, 1994Abstract A number of manganese dioxides have been synthesized and investigated by X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and thermogravimetry under flowing oxygen. The TG curves show, (a) water loss, (b) release of OH-water, and (c) oxygen release.

Temperature Calibration in Thermogravimetry
1980Five magnetic materials have been tested and certified as temperature reference materials for thermogravimetry. Use of these materials will enable the relating of data from thermobalances of different designs.
