Thermohydraulic Simulation of Heat Exchanger Networks
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2010This paper presents a simulation scheme of heat exchanger networks considering thermal and hydraulic effects simultaneously. The determination of network temperatures is carried out together with the evaluation of flow rates and pressures along the network, considering head losses in heat exchangers and associated piping.

Thermohydraulic effects of safety relief valves
Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science, 1999Abstract An experimental study of the thermohydraulic performance of the safety relief valve (SRV) is presented. The study showed that the single and two-phase conditions upstream the SRV cause significant changes in the flow through the SRV. Five SRVs were tested covering a pressure range of (4.5–75) bar.

Thermohydraulic modeling of pulsed laser welding
ICALEO 2013: 32nd International Congress on Laser Materials Processing, Laser Microprocessing and Nanomanufacturing, 2013The major aim of this study is to increase our understanding of the link between operating parameters and thermo-hydraulic evolution in the welding area, in the case of an isolated impact made with a Nd:YAG pulsed laser on a thin Ti6Al4V sheet. Two numerical approaches are used to model both the interaction stage and the cooling one.

Nuclear Engineering and Design, 1984Abstract Developments in space and in nuclear-energy have demonstrated the heat-transfer utility of liquid metals in both low-pressure and high-temperature applications. Compared with water or organic liquids, liquid metals are advantageous in the design of thermal features, as for heat transport at high-temperatures at normal pressures.
