Mechanical, Thermal, and Morphological Properties of PA/NBR TPVs: Influence of Processing Conditions and Recyclability

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 8, February 20, 2026.
Dynamic vulcanization at higher shear rates refines PA/NBR morphology, reduces domain size, and maintains mechanical performance after reprocessing. ABSTRACT Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) of polyamide 6 and nitrile butadiene rubber (PA/NBR) present excellent mechanical properties but traditionally suffer from performance loss during re‐melt ...

Piezoelectric Nanofiber Mats With Enhanced Elastic Recovery for Smart Fabrics

open access: yesAdvances in Polymer Technology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Piezoelectric polymer nanofibers are promising for wearable electronics due to their mechanical compliance and electromechanical responsiveness. Poly(vinylidene fluoride)‐trifluoroethylene (PVDF‐TrFE) is widely used for its ferroelectric β‐phase and favorable piezoelectric properties, yet its limited elasticity hinders applications in soft ...

Numerical Investigation of Stick–Slip Flow in Shear‐Thinning and Shear‐Thickening Power‐Law Inelastic Fluids

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This research focuses on studying an incompressible, non‐Newtonian fluid within an axisymmetric straight channel in cylindrical coordinates, divided under the influence of two zones, subject to two boundary conditions: one without slip and the other with slip.

Influence of Viscosity Ratio on the Mechanical, Morphological, and Rheological Properties of Thermoplastic Dynamic Vulcanizates from Devulcanized Tire Rubber and Polypropylene

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study explores how polypropylene viscosity influences the structure and performance of thermoplastic dynamic vulcanizates made with devulcanized tire rubber. Higher matrix viscosity results in better dispersion of the rubber phase, forming smaller domains and enhancing mechanical properties. The findings support more efficient recycling strategies
