Thermopower of Aharonov-Bohm Interferometer with a Quantum Dot [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We report on the thermopower of an Aharonov-Bohm interferometer (AB) with a quantum dot in the Kondo limit. The thermopower is anomalously enhanced due to the Kondo effect as in heavy fermion systems.

Self‐powered wearable medical devices for cognitively impaired older adults [PDF]

open access: yesAlzheimers Dement
Abstract Background The demand for wearable medical devices among older adults, particularly those with cognitive decline, is growing. Developing self‐powered wearables that eliminate the need for battery recharging or replacement will significantly enhance user‐friendliness for individuals with cognitive decline, who may forget to maintain their ...

Quantized thermoelectric Hall effect induces giant power factor in a topological semimetal

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Theories predict a large thermopower and a quantized thermoelectric Hall conductivity in topological semimetals. Here, the authors observe an ultrahigh longitudinal thermopower and a giant power factor attributed to the quantized thermoelectric Hall ...

DC and optical signatures of the reconstructed Fermi surface for electrons with parabolic band

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
We study the main intra-band and inter-band transport properties at zero temperature of free electron-like system undergoing a topological reconstruction of the Fermi surface for the two-dimensional and three-dimensional case.

Thermopower of Two-Dimensional Electrons at $\nu$ = 3/2 and 5/2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The longitudinal thermopower of ultra-high mobility two-dimensional electrons has been measured at both zero magnetic field and at high fields in the compressible metallic state at filling factor $\nu = 3/2$ and the incompressible fractional quantized ...

Hot-electron thermocouple and the diffusion thermopower of two-dimensional electrons in GaAs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A simple hot-electron thermocouple is realized in a two-dimensional electron system (2DES) and used to measure the diffusion thermopower of the 2DES at zero magnetic field.
