Non-monotonic temperature dependence of thermopower in strongly correlated electron systems
We examine the temperature dependence of thermopower in the single band Hubbard model using dynamical mean-field theory. The strong Coulomb interaction brings about the coherent-to-incoherent crossover as temperature increases.

Effect of DNA bases on the thermoelectric performance in graphene nanoribbons
The thermoelectric transport properties of four kinds of DNA bases sandwiched between two zigzag-edge graphene nanoribbon electrodes are investigated by first-principles calculation. The modulation of quantum interference, molecular length, and molecular

Giant oscillating thermopower at oxide interfaces [PDF]
AbstractUnderstanding the nature of charge carriers at the LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interface is one of the major open issues in the full comprehension of the charge confinement phenomenon in oxide heterostructures. Here, we investigate thermopower to study the electronic structure in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 at low temperature as a function of gate field.

Scaling behavior of temperature-dependent thermopower in CeAu2Si2 under pressure
We report a combined study of in-plane resistivity and thermopower of the pressure-induced heavy fermion superconductor CeAu2Si2 up to 27.8 GPa. It is found that thermopower follows a scaling behavior in T/T* almost up to the magnetic critical pressure ...

Thermoelectric Characterization of Electronic Properties of GaMnAs Nanowires
Nanowires with magnetic doping centers are an exciting candidate for the study of spin physics and proof-of-principle spintronics devices. The required heavy doping can be expected to have a significant impact on the nanowires' electron transport ...

We calculate the out-of-plane thermopower in a quasi-two dimensional system, and argue that this quantity is an effective probe of the asymmetry of the single-particle spectral function.
