The effect of ligand reactivity and carrier mechanics on thiol‐mediated uptake was investigated at the single‐molecule/particle level. The interaction kinetics of LA and AspA with membrane thiols were quantified; AspA is more efficient due to the higher binding affinity, greater binding stability, and more double‐disulfide binding, as well as greater ...

Utilisation of thermostatically controlled loads in demand response schemes
The thesis investigates the use of the thermal inertia of thermostatically controlled loads in demand response schemes. Numerical models and computational algorithms are proposed to address several current issues in demand response smart grids.

Atomistic Kinetics of Dislocation‐Mediated Grain Growth in Monolayer MoS2
Atomic‐resolution in‐situ heating microscopy directly visualizes dislocation‐mediated grain boundary migration and grain growth in monolayer MoS2. Mobile grain boundaries migrate through collective motion of Mo 5|7 dislocations, whereas S 5|7 defects remain largely immobile.

Optimal Tracking Strategies for Uncertain Ensembles of Thermostatically Controlled Loads
Demand side energy management (DSEM) promises to regulate ensembles of loads to track desired power levels, in response to grid events (demand peaks, emergencies, variable renewable power generation, etc).

The DLST K409 succinylation mediated by CPT1A promotes OXPHOS and redox homeostasis through regulating enzyme activity, thereby promoting the malignant progression of LUAD. Notably, the succinylation of DLST can enhance the cuproptosis resistance by inhibiting its lipoylation.

Dimension-Reduced Optimization of Multi-Zone Thermostatically Controlled Loads
This study proposes a computationally efficient method for optimizing multi-zone thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) by leveraging dimensionality reduction through an auto-encoder. We develop a multi-task learning framework to jointly represent latent variables and formulate a state-space model based on observed TCL operation data.

This work designed an injectable metal‐drug supramolecular condensate formed from hafnium ions and alendronate (Hf‐ALN) and loaded with the COX‐2 inhibitor celecoxib (CXB) for synergistic radioimmunotherapy of postoperative osteosarcoma. Mechanistically, upon X‐ray irradiation, Hf enhances radiation energy deposition, ROS generation, and DNA damage ...
