Hidden Fungal Diversity of the Precious Mediterranean Red Coral Corallium rubrum
This study reveals diverse cultivable fungi associated with the red coral Corallium rubrum, highlighting both potentially beneficial and pathogenic species. These findings emphasize the biotechnological relevance and ecological impact of coral‐associated fungi, especially as climate change may increase disease risks.

Sensing and Filtering Environmental Fluctuations: The Case of Biomolecular Condensates in Plants
The diversity of plant condensates reflects constraints of sessile organisms to coordinate postembryonic development with environmental adaptation. This review examines how plants employ condensates to integrate temperature, light, redox, and nutrient signals.

Heat stress effects on crop performance and tools for tolerance breeding [PDF]
Abiotic stress is one of the most common causes of crop deficit and loss and hence an important area of study. Moreover, concerns regarding global climate change over past decades mean the study of different abiotic stresses appears to be essential if ...

RNA Modifications: Current Understandings and Future Perspectives
Types of RNA modification. We have summarized the currently common types of RNA modifications, including ac4C, m6A, m1A, m5C, m3C, m7G, and ψ, and visually characterized their features through structural formulas. The characteristic structures are marked with a background color different from the background color.

Abstract Natural polymers are promising sustainable materials for diverse applications. Xylans, major components of hemicellulose, exhibit origin‐dependent substitution patterns that determine their physicochemical properties. Targeted enzymatic modification of these substituents offers a mild and precise approach for tailoring the polymer's ...

Protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum is highlighted in response to heat stress in Platysternon megacephalum. Under heat stress, the up‐regulation of genes such as CHOP in protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum pathway, along with the suppression of energy and lipid metabolism and the up‐regulation of JARID2 expression, leads to ...

Potato virus X (PVX) elimination as short and long term effects of hydrogen peroxide and salicylic acid is differentially mediated by oxidative stress in synergism with thermotherapy [PDF]
Articulo científico indezadoAbstract Short and long term effects of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and salicylic acid (SA) were examined in: thermotolerance, virus X (PVX)-free microplants obtained by in vitro thermotherapy, catalase activity (CAT) and H2O2 ...
