Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

The problems of interpolation of periodic functions and construction of biorthogonal systems are considered. Uniform shifts of the third Jacobi theta function are used as a basis.

By employing Hirota bilinear method, we mainly discuss the (3+1)-dimensional potential-YTSF equation and discrete KP equation. For the former, we use the linear superposition principle to get its N exponential wave solutions.

HARDY-PETROVITCH-HUTCHINSON'S PROBLEM AND PARTIAL THETA FUNCTION [PDF]
In 1907, M. Petrovitch initiated the study of a class of entire functions all whose finite sections (i.e., truncations) are real-rooted polynomials. He was motivated by previous studies of E.

Balanced Boolean functions that can be evaluated so that every input bit is unlikely to be read
A Boolean function of n bits is balanced if it takes the value 1 with probability 1/2. We exhibit a balanced Boolean function with a randomized evaluation procedure (with probability 0 of making a mistake) so that on uniformly random inputs, no input bit

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

Lyapunov exponents for families of rotated linear cocycles
In this work, we are interested in the study of the upper Lyapunov exponent $\lambda^+(\theta)$ associated to the periodic family of cocycles defined by $$A_\theta(x):=A(x)R_\theta,\qquad x\in X,$$ where $A\::\: X\to \mathbb{GL}^+(2,\mathbb{R})$ is a ...

Feature Selection for Interval-Valued Data Based on D-S Evidence Theory
Feature selection is one basic and critical technology for data mining, especially in current “big data era”. Rough set theory (RST) is sensitive to noise in feature selection due to the strict condition of equivalence relation.

The Case of a 28‐Year‐Old Woman With Medically Refractory Focal Epilepsy
ABSTRACT We present the case of a 28‐year‐old right‐handed woman with medically refractory focal epilepsy. Her seizure semiology and electroencephalography (EEG) indicated a seizure onset zone in the right central‐parietal area. However, both MRI and PET scans were unremarkable, showing no focal lesions or areas of altered metabolism.
