Current estimation using Thevenin battery model
Proceedings of the Joint International Conference on Electric Vehicular Technology and Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering (ICEVT & IMECE), 2015Current sensor is an important part of Battery Management System (BMS). Current information of a battery is very important to estimate the value of State of Charge (SOC) as a component of fault detection. Fault detection is very important to implement in BMS because of its function to protect battery from damage caused by over discharge and overcharge.

Calculating the Effective Capacitance for Interconnect Loads Based on Thevenin Model
2006 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems, 2006Interconnect wires give large influences on circuit delay in very deep submicron designs. Thevenin model and effective capacitance Ceff concept are usually used to calculate the delay of gate with interconnect loads. In the researches before, the condition that the charges transferred to Ceff and RC - ?are not equal was not considered.

Osculating Thevenin model for predicting delay and slew of capacitively characterized cells
Proceedings 2002 Design Automation Conference (IEEE Cat. No.02CH37324), 2002To extrapolate from one point to another using a line, one had better get the slope right. In this paper we apply a similar concept to the important problem in Static Timing Analysis (STA) of predicting cell timing for RC loads using capacitive characterization data.

Modeling Battery under Discharge Using Improved Thevenin-Shepherd Electrical Battery Model
2018 IEEE Vehicle Power and Propulsion Conference (VPPC), 2018This paper performs the modeling of a Lithium-ion (Li-ion) commercial battery. The battery model and the method of obtaining its parameters come from the available literature. The improved Thevenin- Shepherd electrical battery model is used with a second-order resistor-capacitor (RC) network. The Time-domain Parameter Extraction Method(TPEM) is used to

This paper describes the development of a Thevenin model of the human voice for mask speech intelligibility testing. The following steps were used to develop the Thevenin model: (1) the long-term average speech spectrum of ten male speakers was measured; (2) the corresponding average vocal tract shape was estimated using linear prediction; (3) a ...

Comparison of Simple Battery Model and Thevenin Battery Model for SOC Estimation Based on OCV Method
2019 International Conference on Information and Communications Technology (ICOIACT), 2019State of Charge (SOC) is a component of Battery Management System (BMS) which gives information on the remaining capacity of a battery. For monitoring purpose, SOC estimation is represented as ratio of the remaining capacity to the nominal capacity of a battery.

Based on artificial neural networks and Thenvenin model, this paper uses an improved model predicting state of charge. We combine artificial neural networks model with Thevenin model, and predict state of charge in real time at the same time. When the difference between the predictive value of artificial neural networks model and the predictive value ...

Battery parameters identification is crucial for accurate prediction of battery life in electric vehicles. In order to optimize battery parameter identification, an improved PSO (particle swarm optimization) algorithm was proposed based on the use of Thevenin battery model to abstract the problem into an optimization problem.
