Beyond Literacy: Embracing Illiteracies as Strategic Resistance in Citizenship Education

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Education, Volume 61, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This article reconsiders the role of citizenship illiteracies in citizenship education, particularly in challenging contexts where direct confrontation is untenable. Traditionally, citizenship education often equates citizenship literacies with positive civic engagement, overlooking the potential value of illiteracies as forms of resistance ...

Impact of QSW‐ZVS on Input EMI Filter Design in DC‐DC Converters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, Volume 54, Issue 7, Page 3545-3554, July 2026.
This paper analyzes the impact of quasi‐square wave zero voltage switching (QSW‐ZVS) on passive EMI filter design for DC‐DC buck converters. The extra element theorem (EET) is used to derive the design quantities that ensure converter performance is not altered, and the resulting damping element values are compared with those of traditional converters.

Using an Evolutionary Algorithm for Harmonic Load Modeling by Norton and Thevenin Equivalents.

open access: yesInternational journal of electrical and computer engineering systems, 2014
The Norton equivalent model for harmonic load modeling is used widely. The parameters of the model are usually calculated analytically. These calculations are based on measured or simulated voltage/current waveforms. In this case, harmonic analysis is needed to obtain the harmonic spectra. After this step, model parameter values are calculated for each

Dead-time effect modeling for hybrid modular multilevel converter using twin mapping

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
Dead-time control is essential for modular multilevel converters (MMCs), but it negatively impacts MMC performance. To support the development of control strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of dead-time, electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations

Equivalent Circuit Model for High-Power Lithium-Ion Batteries under High Current Rates, Wide Temperature Range, and Various State of Charges

open access: yesBatteries, 2023
The most employed technique to mimic the behavior of lithium-ion cells to monitor and control them is the equivalent circuit model (ECM). This modeling tool should be precise enough to ensure the system’s reliability.

Survival Remains High in Griffon Vultures 40 Years After Reintroduction

open access: yesAnimal Conservation, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 307-320, June 2026.
The reintroduction of the Griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus) in French Grands Causses in 1981 is largely regarded as a significant translocation success. 40 years of quality data from intensive monitoring allows us to investigate the survival rates in this long‐lived population on the long term, but also to reflect on the crucial role of adaptive management
