Pharmaceutical Studies with Thiamine Mononitrate

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1950
Thiamine mononitrate, the salt formed from one mole of thiamine base and one mole of nitric acid, occurs as an anhydrous crystalline solid of low hygroscopicity, differing in this respect from thiamine hydrochloride. The stability of thiamine mononitrate was investigated in sterile solutions, compressed tablets, multivitamin capsules and dry-filled ...

Collaborative Studies on thiamine mononitrate in pharmaceutical preparations

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1950
The results of series of collaborative studies on the relative stabilities of thiamine mononitrate and thiamine hydrochloride are reported. In a wide variety of pharmaceutical preparations considerable deterioration of the nitrate occurred except in tablets in which the loss in potency was negligible.

The stability of thiamine hydrochloride and mono-nitrate in parenteral vitamin B complex and iron solutions

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1949
Vitamin B1, in parenteral solutions in admixture with riboflavin and niacinamide, exhibits maximum stability with respect to potency and clarity of solution at pH 4 under a nitrogen atmosphere. In admixture with iron compounds, vitamin Bi is more stable in the presence of ferrous gluconate than of iron peptonate or ferric ammonium citrate.

Simultaneous determination of nicotinamide, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate and riboflavin in multivitamin with minerals tablets by reversed‐phase ion‐pair high performance liquid chromatography

Biomedical Chromatography, 2002
AbstractA reversed‐phase ion‐pair high performance liquid chromatographic method (HPLC) has been developed and validated for the routine analysis of nicotinamide, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate and riboflavin in multivitamin with minerals tablets.
