The effect of the backfat thickness loss on reproduction in lactating sows [PDF]

The work discusses the influence of the backfat thickness change, during sow´s lactation, on their subsequent litter characteristics. The reproduction potential of 478 sows of two genotypes was assessed. The genotypes were 50 Large White (LWD) sows and 428 crossbreeds Large White x Landrace (LWD x L) sows.

Variation of microstrip losses with thickness of strip

The attenuation in microstrip lines has been calculated by relating the longitudinal components of current to the charge profiles of a static solution. The calculation has been performed for varying thicknesses of strip to examine the mechanism of loss for very thin strips, where the penetrating fields from both surfaces of the strip overlap.
