Nonlocal theory of curved rods. 2-D, high order, Timoshenko’s and Euler-Bernoulli models
New models for plane curved rods based on linear nonlocal theory of elasticity have been developed. The 2-D theory is developed from general 2-D equations of linear nonlocal elasticity using a special curvilinear system of coordinates related to the ...

Improving Accident Tolerance of Nuclear Fuel with Coated Mo-alloy Cladding
In severe loss of coolant accidents (LOCA), similar to those experienced at Fukushima Daiichi and Three Mile Island Unit 1, the zirconium alloy fuel cladding materials are rapidly heated due to nuclear decay heating and rapid exothermic oxidation of ...

On Finite Deformations of Spatially Curved Bisymmetric Thin-Walled Rods
Abstract Deriving the formulas for strain components, we are assuming, that cross-section of a rod being rotated in space during deformation does not need to be perpendicular to deformed centroid line. This not a quite intuitive assumption allows for more compact and easier formulas for strain tensor or equilibrium equations.

Przyspieszenia Drgań Skrętnych Cienkościennego Pręta o Profilu Otwartym
In this paper is given an approximate method of solving the equations of twisting vibration in a thin-walled rod having one plane of symmetry and with a short-term action of a determined torque on one of its ends.
