Fluorine Abundances in Local Stellar Populations
We present the first fluorine measurements in 12 normal K giants belonging to the Galactic thin and thick disks using spectra obtained with the Phoenix infrared spectrometer on the 2.1 m telescope at Kitt Peak. Abundances are determined from the (1−0) R9

Comparative Study of Experimental Methods for Measuring Thermal Properties of 100Cr6 Steel Powders
This study investigates the thermal properties of 100Cr6 steel in both bulk and powder forms. Measuring the very low thermal conductivity typically exhibited by powders poses significant challenges. To address this, two novel measurement techniques—temperature gradient and finite laser pulse response—are introduced and evaluated by comparison with the ...

Key Trends and Insights in Smart Polymeric Skin Wearable Patches
Intelligent polymers, which respond to various physical and biological stimuli, are explored for the development of skin wearable patches in biomedical applications. Smart polymers, also known as intelligent or stimuli‐responsive polymers, play a crucial role in the development of advanced wearable patches due to their versatility and softness.

Rotary friction welding of steel E355 and the aluminum alloy EN AW‐6082 can lead to the formation of brittle intermetallic phases. The primary process parameters are varied in order to determine their influence on this intermetallic phase formation and the resulting mechanical properties.

We describe three-dimensional general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic simulations of a geometrically thin accretion disk around a non-spinning black hole. The disk has a thickness $h/r\sim0.05-0.1$ over the radial range $(2-20)GM/c^2$.

THE THICKENING OF THE THIN DISK IN THE THIRD GALACTIC QUADRANT [PDF]
In the third Galactic quadrant (180 < l < 270) of the Milky Way, the Galactic thin disk exhibits a significant warp ---shown both by gas and young stars--- bending down a few kpc below the formal Galactic plane (b=0). This warp shows its maximum at 240, in the direction of the Canis Major constellation.

Direct Natural and Artificial Aging of Aluminum Alloy AlSi10Mg After Laser Powder‐Bed Fusion
Laser powder‐bed fusion of metals aluminum alloy AlSi10Mg has been directly aged. Artificial aging after natural aging is considered. The hardening potential is high for the top part of the samples as well as after short natural aging. The hardening potential is substantially reduced for the bottom part of the samples, as well as after natural aging of
