Determination of Thermal Conductivity of phase pure 10H-SiC Thin Films by non-destructive Raman Thermometry [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
10 H SiC thin films are potential candidates for devices that can be used in high temperature and high radiation environment. Measurement of thermal conductivity of thin films by a non-invasive method is very useful for such device fabrication. Micro-Raman method serves as an important tool in this aspect and is known as Raman Thermometry.

Thin film rupture

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 1996
AbstractA system of equations which describe the dynamics of a thin two-dimensional free film is analyzed in the vicinity of rupture. These equations contain the effects of surface tension and van der Waals forces. A similarity solution is sought, and a dominant balance argument is proposed and supported with numerical calculations.

Design and validation of a novel dosimetry phantom for motion management audits

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background We present a novel phantom design for conducting end‐to‐end dosimetry audits for respiratory motion management of two anatomical treatment sites. The design enables radiochromic film measurements of the dose administered to the target throughout the respiratory cycle (motion‐included) and the dose delivered to the time‐averaged ...

Utilizing tertiary butyl iodide as an effective film quality enhancing agent for atomic layer deposition of HfO2 dielectric thin films

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
The effects of the initial pulse of tert-butyl iodide as a surfactant in atomic layer deposition of HfO2 using cyclopentadienyl tris(dimethylamino) hafnium, CpHf(NMe2)3, and ozone, O3, are investigated at 320, 300, and 250 °C.

Artificial Receptor in Synthetic Cells Performs Transmembrane Activation of Proteolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Transmembrane signaling is the hallmark of living cells and is among the highest challenges for the design of synthetic cells. Herein, an artificial receptor based on the chemistry of self‐immolative linkers is used to communicate information across the lipid bilayer, for transmembrane activation of enzymatic activity. Abstract The design of artificial,

On optical rotation and selective transmission in ambichiral sculptured thin films [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Modern Optics 60(2013)1370-1375, 2012
The optical rotation and selective transmission spectrum of ambichiral sculptured thin films using transfer matrix method have been calculated. The results of optical modeling showed that optical characteristics ambichiral sculptured thin films are the same as chiral sculptured thin films in lower angular rotations.
