Artificial Receptor in Synthetic Cells Performs Transmembrane Activation of Proteolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Transmembrane signaling is the hallmark of living cells and is among the highest challenges for the design of synthetic cells. Herein, an artificial receptor based on the chemistry of self‐immolative linkers is used to communicate information across the lipid bilayer, for transmembrane activation of enzymatic activity. Abstract The design of artificial,

High Curie temperature Mn 5 Ge 3 thin films produced by non-diffusive reaction

open access: yes, 2017
Polycrystalline Mn 5 Ge 3 thin films were produced on SiO 2 using magnetron sputtering and reactive diffusion (RD) or non-diffusive reaction (NDR). In situ X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy were used to determine the layer structures, and ...

On optical rotation and selective transmission in ambichiral sculptured thin films [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Modern Optics 60(2013)1370-1375, 2012
The optical rotation and selective transmission spectrum of ambichiral sculptured thin films using transfer matrix method have been calculated. The results of optical modeling showed that optical characteristics ambichiral sculptured thin films are the same as chiral sculptured thin films in lower angular rotations.

Low-temperature sintering and microwave dielectric properties of CaMg1−x Li2x Si2O6 (x = 0−0.3) ceramics

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics, 2020
In this study, low-temperature fired CaMg1−x Li2x Si2O6 microwave dielectric ceramics were prepared via the traditional solid-state reaction method. In this process, 0.4 wt% Li2CO3-B2O3-SiO2-CaCO3-Al2O3 (LBSCA) glass was added as a sintering aid.
