Thin-Layer Chromatography [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chromatographic Science, 2008
AbstractTLC is used extensively in nucleic acid chemistry to monitor the progress of chemical reactions, to assay fractions collected from a larger chromatographic separation (e.g., column chromatography), and to determine optimal conditions prior to column chromatography.

Thin Layer Models for Electromagnetism [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Computational Physics, 2014
AbstractWe present a review on the accuracy of asymptotic models for the scattering problem of electromagnetic waves in domains with thin layer. These models appear as first order approximations of the electromagnetic field. They are obtained thanks to a multiscale expansion of the exact solution with respect to the thickness of the thin layer, that ...

Thin-Layer Chromatography [PDF]

open access: yesScience, 1974

Coarsening model of cavity nucleation and thin film delamination from single-crystal BaTiO3 with proton implantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The layer splitting mechanism of a proton implanted single crystal ferroelectric BaTiO3 thin film layer from its bulk BaTiO3 substrate has been investigated.

Homogenization of enhancing thin layers [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2021
This paper derives an explicit formula for the effective diffusion tensor by using the solutions to some effective cell problems after homogenizing Road effective boundary conditions (EBCs). The concept of Road EBCs was proposed recently by H. Li and X.

Thin electron-scale layers at the magnetopause [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We use data from the four Cluster satellites to examine the microphysics of a thin electron-scale layer discovered on the magnetospheric side of the magnetopause.

Viscosity measurement in thin lubricant films using shear ultrasonic reflection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
When a shear ultrasonic wave is incident on a solid and liquid boundary, the proportion that is reflected depends on the liquid viscosity. This is the basis for some instruments for on-line measurement of bulk liquid viscosity.

THIN LAYERS IN MICROMAGNETISM [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2001
In this paper we study the solutions of micromagnetism equation in thin domain both in the stationary and in the time-dependent case. We prove that the magnetic field induced by the magnetisation behaves like the projection of the magnetic moment on the normal to the domain, both for a flat and a non-flat domain.

Continuous preparative thin-layer chromatography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
A short survey of preparative chromatographic methods is given. An apparatus for general use in continuous preparative thin-layer chromatography is described, and its performance compared with some related preparative ...

Thin‐Layered Photocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, 2020
AbstractSemiconductor photocatalysis, a green and sustainable technology, is of great significance for solving environmental pollution and energy shortages. However, the common problems of inefficient light harvesting, rapid recombination of electron–hole pairs, and low surface reactive reaction sites for photocatalysts urgently need to be solved.
