Traversable wormholes with double layer thin shells in quadratic gravity [PDF]
In quadratic gravity, the junction conditions are six and permit the appearance of double layer thin shells. Double layers arise typically in theories with dipoles, i.e., two opposite charges, such as electromagnetic theories, and appear exceptionally in gravitational theories, which are theories with a single charge.

Modeling the Thin-Layer Drying of Fruits and Vegetables: A Review.
The drying of fruits and vegetables is a complex operation that demands much energy and time. In practice, the drying of fruits and vegetables increases product shelf-life and reduces the bulk and weight of the product, thus simplifying transport ...

Condensates in thin-layer turbulence [PDF]
We examine the steady state of turbulent flows in thin layers using direct numerical simulations. It is shown that when the layer thickness is smaller than a critical height, an inverse cascade arises which leads to the formation of a steady state condensate where most of the energy is concentrated in the largest scale of the system.

Modelling of thin-layer drying characteristic of unripe Cardaba banana (Musa ABB) slices
In order to determine the behavior of Cardaba banana during drying, the thin layer drying kinetics were investigated using sun and hot air-drying at the temperature of 50, 60 and 70°C. The drying rate of the convective hot air oven was kept constant at 1.
