Enantioselective Bromoaminocyclization Using Amino–Thiocarbamate Catalysts
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2011A facile and efficient enantioselective bromoaminocyclization of unsaturated sulfonamides has been developed using an amino-thiocarbamate catalyst. A range of enantioenriched pyrrolidines were prepared with up to 99% yield and 99% ee. The corresponding lactams could be obtained through oxidation of the pyrrolidines.

AbstractThe methods suitable for the preparation of thiocarbamates are described and illustrated by examples and procedures. They are grouped under the following headings: Addition of Alcohols and Thiols to Isothiocyanates Thioacylation of Amines with chlorothioformates with O,S‐diesters of dithiocarbonic acid with trithiocarbonates Thioacylation of ...

Electrochemical synthesis of thiocarbamates
Russian Journal of Electrochemistry, 2000The possibility of indirect and direct electrosyntheses of thiocarbamates is studied. The indirect synthesis is based on producing monochloramines by the chlorination of an aqueous solution containing an amine and sodium chloride on a dimensionally stable anode (DSA) in diaphragm electrolysis and a subsequent interaction of monochloramines with ...

Asymmetric Bromolactonization Using Amino-thiocarbamate Catalyst
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2010A novel amino-thiocarbamate-catalyzed bromolactonization of unsaturated carboxylic acids has been developed. The scope of the reaction is evidenced by 22 examples of γ-lactones with up to 99% yield and 93% ee. The protocol was applied in the enantioselective synthesis of the key intermediates of VLA-4 antagonists.

Thiocarbamate‐linked peptides by chemoselective peptide ligation
Journal of Peptide Science, 2008AbstractPeptide chemical ligation chemistries, which allow the chemoselective coupling of unprotected peptide fragments, are useful tools for synthesizing native polypeptides or unnatural peptide‐based macromolecules. We show here that the phenylthiocarbonyl group can be easily introduced into peptides on α or ε amino groups using ...

Antidotes protect corn from thiocarbamate herbicide injury
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1975N , N -Diallyl-2, 2-dichloroacetamide and related compounds added in small amounts to EPTC ( S -ethyl dipropylthiocarbamate) or other thiocarbamate herbicides prevent the onset of herbicide injury to corn plants and greatly increase crop yields. Antidotes of this type provide a novel method to obtain greater selectivity and new crop uses for the ...
