Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

Etiological factors in second mandibular molar impaction.

open access: yes, 2014
The impaction of the second mandibular molar (MM2) has recently become more prevalent. Several etiological hypothesis have been proposed to investigate the association between skeletal features and impaction of MM2. The aims of this study were to analyze

Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs

The Effect of Tooth Form on the Incidence of Lower Third Molar Impaction

open access: yes, 2013
Teeth dimension is the factor influenced the incidence of tooth impaction. The most related factor with teeth dimension is teeth form. This study was aimed to determine the effect of teeth form on the incidence of lower third impaction.

Evaluation of the Distal Periodontal Bone Defect Associated with Lower Third Molar Extraction

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Background: Dental impaction requires careful consideration prior to extraction. Factors influencing the decision to extract an impacted tooth include the depth of impaction, proximity to vital structures, patient age, systemic conditions, and compliance.
