GeS as an Emerging OTS Material: Atomic Structure and Modeling of ON/OFF Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The structural puzzle of glassy GeS, an advanced memory‐selector material, has finally been disentangled, revealing a patchwork of mixed tetrahedral and trigonal species. Under a high electric field, over‐ and under‐coordinated Ge and S defects, together with three‐membered rings, form an interconnected network associated with localized and extended ...

Age estimation based on the stage of mineralization of third molars on orthopantomograms

open access: yesBioscience Journal, 2016
The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation among chronological age, sex and stages of mineralization of third molars using orthopantomograms in a Brazilian population. For such purpose, 1,200 orthopantomograms of 9-20-year-old individuals (654

Comparison of Piezosurgery Devices and the Use of Rotatory Devices for the Extraction of Impacted Mandibular Third Molars

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
The present study aimed to examine the extraction of impacted mandibular third molars by using rotatory and piezosurgery equipment. Twenty-five patients of both genders who required surgery to remove their third molars were split into two groups (control

Emergence of a Hexagonal Fe2S2 Single Layer Without a Bulk Counterpart via Phase Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Upon annealing, single‐layer Mackinawite iron sulfide transforms into a previously unknown hexagonal Fe2S2${\rm Fe}_2{\rm S}_2$ phase with β$\beta$‐CuI structure. STM, LEED, and first‐principles calculations identify the structure and show that electronic correlations and magnetic order are important for its stability.

Impaction of Lower Third Molars - Case Reports [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Treći su kutnjaci zubi koji kongenitalno najčešće nedostaju. Istraživanja o razvoju trećih kutnjaka upućuju nas da utvrđujemo radiografske osobitosti korisne u predviđanju nicanja tih zuba.

Endosomal Escape of siRNA Polyplexes: A Molecular Dynamics Perspective on Underlying Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular dynamics simulations reveal distinct endosomal escape mechanisms of siRNA nanoparticles, ranging from electrostatic membrane attachment to hydrophobic membrane fusion. Hydrophobic residues and anionic endosomal lipids emerge as key determinants of membrane disruption, linking molecular interactions to experimental delivery performance and ...

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...
