On the Rheology of Thixotropic and Rheopexic Suspensions

open access: yesColloid Journal, 2023
Semi-empirical equations are derived that describe the dependence of shear stress on shear rate during the flow of a one-component suspension. The suspension is considered as consisting of two fractions: single grains of the solid phase and their dimers, between which a reversible dimerization reaction occurs.

Lipoic Acid‐Intervened Decellularized Stem Cell Spheroid‐Based Injectable Granular Gel for Diabetic Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advancements in tissue engineering have revolutionized therapeutic paradigms for diabetic tissue defects; however, the lack of applicable scaffold containing various bioactive substance aggregates remained a critical bottleneck hindering satisfactory repair effect.

Study of the effect of particle size on the thixotropy of tailings pastes

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2023
High-concentration tailings pastes are commonly encountered in the surface deposition and underground cemented paste backfill. It is necessary to forecast the pressure loss along the pipe and the flow behavior in the mined-out area when tailings pastes ...

Generation of Self‐Organizing Macrovascular Constructs by Bioprinting Human iPSC‐Derived Mesodermal Progenitor Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Vascularization remains a major obstacle in tissue engineering. Here, we introduce a bioprinting strategy to generate centimeter‐scale, self‐organizing “mother vessel” constructs from iPSC‐derived hiMPCs. By optimizing bioink composition, printing was accomplished in a single‐step approach. Within one week, hiMPCs differentiated into both CD31+

A Hydrogen Sulfide–Releasing Dynamic Hydrogel Modulates Coordinated Neurovascular, Immune, and Angiogenic Responses for Scar‐Suppressed Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS‐Responsive H2S Hydrogel (HAPPF) Coordinated Regeneration for High‐Quality Diabetic Wound Repair.A self‐regulating dynamic hydrogel is developed to deliver a fluorogenic H2S donor in response to excessive ROS. Released H2S acts as a master regulator to resolve chronic inflammation (M2 polarization), restore VEGF‐driven angiogenesis, and rebalance ...

Mathematical modelling of thixotropic and antithixotropic fluids

open access: yes, 2013
In this thesis we consider two fundamental flow problems, the Stokes problem and flow in a slowly-varying channel, for complex fluids. Specifically, we investigate these problems for thixotropic and antithixotropic fluids described by Mewis and Wagner's [
