Capture Cavities For The Cw Polarized Positron Source Ce+baf [PDF]
The initial design of the capture cavities for the continuous wave (CW) polarized positron beams at Jefferson Lab (Ce+BAF) is presented. A chain of standing wave multi-cell copper cavities inside a solenoid tunnel are selected to improve the positron ...

Postprint Copy of Years of Teaching Dangerously: Interfacing Thomas Cromwell in Canon and Fandom, Michael Drayton, “W.S.,” and Hilary Mantel [PDF]

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

Thomas-Fermi approximation to static vortex states in superfluid trapped atomic gases
We revise the Thomas-Fermi approximation for describing vortex states in Bose condensates of magnetically trapped atoms. Our approach is based on considering the hbar -> 0 limit rather than the N -> infinity limit as Thomas-Fermi approximation in close ...

ABSTRACT Objective Isolated rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) is a prodromal state for Lewy body disorders and exhibits biological heterogeneity that may influence clinical expression and progression. We examined clinical features in individuals with iRBD and biomarker‐defined synucleinopathy.
