Recipient–Donor Sex Combinations and Posttransplant Infections: A Swiss Transplant Cohort Study
Transplant Infectious Disease, EarlyView.In this cohort study of 5033 patients, only the recipient sex, in particularly kidney recipients, was independently associated with an increased risk of infections, when compared to males. These findings indicate that recipient–donor sex combination does not influence short‐term solid organ transplantation outcome.

Transplant Infectious Disease, EarlyView.HEV epidemiology in solid organ (SOT) and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell (allo‐HSCT) transplant recipients in Switzerland between 2010 and 2017. HEV RNA incidence is more than 20‐fold higher in the transplant cohort than in Swiss blood donors. Although most infections were likely of dietary origin, one transfusion‐transmitted HEV case was detected.
