Learning relational dynamics of stochastic domains for planning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Probabilistic planners are very flexible tools that can provide good solutions for difficult tasks. However, they rely on a model of the domain, which may be costly to either hand code or automatically learn for complex tasks.

On the Compositional Relationship of Text and Image in Graphic Anthropology: The Promise of “Sequential” and “Unrestrained” Perspectives for Unsettling Representation

open access: yesAmerican Anthropologist, Volume 128, Issue 1, Page 130-147, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Graphic anthropology has grown to become a distinctive subfield at the intersection of anthropology of drawing, visual anthropology, and multimodal approaches to social research. We assess this development and identify two emerging styles of graphic anthropological practice.

Body, Mind, and Emotion: Multi‐Sited Labour of Social Reproduction and Gendered Experiences of Rural Migrants from the Mekong Delta

open access: yesAntipode, Volume 58, Issue 2, 2026.
Abstract In the context of global market integration, capital accumulation relies on social reproduction; yet unlimited accumulation disrupts the reproductive processes that sustain it. Vietnam is pursuing economic growth in the same fashion, relying on cheap migrant labour in urban areas that are stabilising rural areas through remittances and care ...

Recycling used coffee grounds as fine aggregate in alkali-activated lightweight non-load-bearing composites

open access: yesCTU Journal of Innovation and Sustainable Development
Coffee is one of the most consumed drinks, which releases large amounts of used coffee grounds (UCG), causing environmental problems. Thus, UCG was re-used in combination with bottom ash (BA) as fine aggregates in making alkali-activated non-load ...

Increased Blood Levels of NfL, GFAP, and Placental Growth Factor After Radiotherapy to the Brain

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 13, Issue 2, Page 399-404, February 2026.
ABSTRACT In this study, we analyzed biomarkers of neuronal, glial, and vascular injury in longitudinal paired samples of blood and cerebrospinal fluid after prophylactic cranial irradiation in patients with small cell lung cancer. Neurofilament light chain protein (NfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) increased in serum and cerebrospinal ...

Guanidinium Like‐Charge Ion Pairing and Oligoarginine Aggregation in Water by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Cryo‐Electron Microscopy, and Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study shows that guanidinium cations weakly attract one another in water and form like‐charge contact ion pairs. From NMR, we determine the free energy of ion‐pair formation to be ≈${\approx }$ –0.5 kJ mol−1${\rm mol}^{-1}$, consistent with all‐atom MD simulations and DFT calculations.
