Sonographic Diagnosis of an Intercostal Artery Pseudoaneurysm: A Case Report and Literature Review
Journal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.A 63‐year‐old male presented to the emergency department after being found unconscious during a welfare check. Following a prolonged three‐month hospital admission, the patient developed left flank pain. Spectral Doppler ultrasound revealed a large isoechoic lesion with layering echoes, and spectral Doppler demonstrated bidirectional flow.

Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.This study found that only two‐thirds of patients were managed in accordance with national guidance for C‐spine trauma, with younger patients more likely to have X‐rays rather than CT. Inappropriate imaging carries radiation dose implications and delays in care with subsequent risks, particularly where immobilisation is utilised.
