Separation of thoraco-omphalopagus siamese twin
Indian Journal of Pediatrics, 2004A pair of female thoraco-omphalopagus twins, with two pairs of lungs, common diaphragm and separate pleural cavities was separated at the age of 5(1/2) months after a parasitic relationship had developed between them. Inseparable Thoraco-Omphalopagus Twins
Conjoined twins occur at the rate of 1 in 50 to 200,000 live births, and 75% of these share the thorax (thoracopagus) or the thorax and upper abdomen (thoraco-omphalopagus), resulting in cardiac and hepatic sharing. Antenatal diagnosis can delineate the cardiac anatomy and provide parental counseling on whether separation is possible after birth.

Thoraco‐Omphalopagus Conjoined Twins in Chamois‐Coloured Domestic Goat Kids
With 2 figuresSummaryConjoined twins have been observed in a wide range of mammalian and non‐mammalian species; they are considered to be more common in bovine, less frequent in sheep and pig and extremely rare in horse and goat. A pair of female conjoined twins was delivered from a 2‐year‐old Chamois‐coloured domestic goat.

Conjoined twins – Thoraco-omphalopagus: A case report
Journal of the Anatomical Society of India, 2016Abstract Conjoined twins are a rare congenital anomaly of twinning which borders on monstrosity. Of the various types of conjoined twins, thoraco-omphalopagus is a commonly occurring type. A recent theory postulates fusion of two embryonic discs as more of a cause for conjoined twinning than fission of a single embryonic plate.

Biliary tract anomalies in thoraco-omphalopagus conjoined twins
Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2002Thoraco-omphalopagus conjoined twins were separated urgently on the ninth day of life because of bowel obstruction and impending intestinal perforation. Preoperative studies clarified the cardiac, intestinal, and hepatic parenchymal anomalies, but the precise biliary anatomy remained obscure.

Echo-Doppler assessment of cardiac status in conjoined (thoraco-omphalopagus) twins
Pediatric Cardiology, 1990Cardiac status was assessed noninvasively in a case of thoraco-omphalopagus conjoined twins by two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiography which showed completely separate hearts and major arteries and veins. The twins were successfully separated surgically, without preoperative invasive cardiac investigation.
