Thoracic duct resection did not improve overall or recurrence‐free survival in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma after McKeown esophagectomy. In node‐negative patients, it was associated with a higher recurrence risk, supporting selective thoracic duct preservation when oncologically feasible.
